John R. Parziale, M.D.
Dr. Parziale is a native New Englander. After attending the Choate School, he received a Sc. B. in Biology at Brown University. He then completed medical school at the University of Connecticut and residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Tufts University and New England Medical Center in Boston. He was Physiatrist-in-Chief at Rhode Island Hospital from 1986-1993, when he established his private practice. He is consistently cited in Rhode Island Monthly’s survey of “Top Doctors”.

In addition to maintaining his private practice, Dr. Parziale holds an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and has been a member of the medical school faculty since 1986. He received certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1987. He has written numerous medical articles and textbook chapters, and holds leadership positions in regional and national medical societies. Dr. Parziale has served as a member of the board of the Association of Academic Physiatrists and of the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court Medical Advisory Board.
